——— project ———

Furry monsters cuddling, welcoming the viewer to a brand new series of MTV idents from 1 July 2011 – motion design studio Sehsucht of Berlin/Germany has created and animated „Close & Caring“, one of six new MTV idents (duration: 20 sec.). „Close & Caring“ conveys a look and feel that equals the warmth and feeling of a hug, as simple as holding hands or sinking under your duvet. Sehsucht created the cute little beasts, developed the story concept, built the vignettes, covered the overall production and post-production (editing, retouching, color-correction, special effects), and created the print templates.

Vieles geht dabei verloren - vieles kommt hinzu - etwas Eigenes entsteht.

The new Nissan Tilda has an excellent chassis frame which should be shown in this Russian commercial. The idea is that everything where the car drives by is made of wool, leather and plumes. My part for this spot was to develop the structures and the wool for the streets, to animate and to track some scenes.

Mobile interaction is the main topic of an interdisciplinary project between the department of design and department of computer science at the University of Applied Sciences.

The course´s aim was to develop means of interaction which should take place on public displays and mobile gadgets, furthermore tracking technology should be included.

Our group chose to work on the subject of light pollution. Different effects of light pollution were illustrated by interactive techniques. With the help of the iphone and a huge LED display at the front of the PSD-Bank Muenster, digitally created insects reacted to various light sources. In shop windows, devices were installed which tracked light sources and hereby illustrated high insect mortality and sky glow.

As a independent study the goal was to build three consecutive spots for the city of Muenster. These short spots refer to the award the city of Muenster received in the preceeding years, for example "most child friendly city in Germany". For this subject a short spot was made, which consists of part real filmed footage and part 3d Animation. The difference between 3d and and real footage should not be seen in the final product. Because of the harsh time constraints in each semester, up to now, there was only time to build the 3d part. The missing film footage has been added as an animatic.

Designer toys is a term used to describe toys and other collectibles that are produced in limited editions and created by artists and designers. The goal of this project was to sketch five familiar persons as vinyl toys, of which three had to be modelled. Finally, a walk cycle was made with one character.

To mark the occasion of the 60th German Lawyers' Day, German Bar Association initiated a poster competition on the subject of  »60 years German Constitution« Therefor, two posters were created. The first poster should quickly and easily create attention – approach a maximal target group and provide the main guiding principle of the Basic Law - all men are created equal. The equals sign is ambiguous and is not only the link between the people but also the German Flag.
